Today we finished the last two images in Ted Greenwald’s Con Dot, due out from Cuneiform Press this fall. We’ll ship them up to Colorado Springs to be bound by CJ Martin on Monday. There will only be 26 copies, lettered and signed by the author, but because we believe that a well-made book should not hold a poem captive, we’ll also be producing a classic ‘mimeo’ version for cheap.
The images were created using a combination of type-high wood and linoleum blocks. The sheets are Crane’s Lettra measuring 12 x 14.25″. Each of the four pictures were run through the press at least six times using at least six shades of red (mostly rubber-base) ink, each a little, and some extremely, different.
